Training Center for Specialized Logistics (TCSL)What is TCSL?This training program will address the critical need to proficiently train future Logisticians in those areas of Supply and Maintenance Management. Specifically, training courses will be conducted in Provisioning (to include Cataloging and RPSTL), Item Management (Major/Secondary) and Maintenance Engineering. Purpose of TCSLArmy Materiel Command is responsible for managing depots, arsenals, national inventory control points, planning and budgeting for all of the Department of Army's weapon systems. And, although newer materiel systems will require reduced logistical footprints, older systems continue to need sustainment and management. Those Logisticians whom have had the responsibility to do just that are retiring. The problem does not lie in their decision to retire; rather it lies in the fact that their specialized skill sets are going with them. Mission To train Logisticians for job specific functions in order to help resolve critical shortages in the specialized skill sets of: Maintenance Engineering , Provisioning (to include Cataloging and RPSTL) and Item Management. Goal To provide a training program that will allow the immediate employment or reclassification for someone who wants to become a functionalist in the areas of: a Maintenance Engineering, Provisioning/Cataloging, Technical Writing or Item Management. Target Audience Government, industry and academia. Certification This training program is approved by the Alabama Department of Industrial Relations, certified by the Alabama Workforce Development Agency (WIA) and licensed by the State of Alabama Department of Postsecondary Education.
